Bio
Teaching is my passion--I love "the lightbulb moments" and the relationships that teaching brings. Over 20 years ago, I began my career teaching English/Humanities to 7th-12th graders and then, moved into higher education to train the next generation of educators for the challenges of the 21st-century classroom. Recently, I returned to P-12 education as an administrator to continue my goal of making an impact in the lives of students and in my community.
Education
I began my love of learning at the beautiful and historic Edward Lee McClain High School. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Education in Secondary English Comprehensive degree at Ohio University. Later, I obtained my Master of Art in Teaching from Marygrove College. Finally, I earned my Educational Specialist degree and Doctorate of Education, specializing in Curriculum and Instruction from Marshall University. Recently, I earned a second masters degree and my Administrator Licensure through Ashland University.

Employment
I began my career teaching 7th-12th grades at Southeastern Local Schools in Chillicothe, Ohio. After 16 years, I moved into higher education as the Dean and Associate Professor of the School of Education at Ohio Christian University in Circleville, Ohio. In 2022, I returned to P-12 education as Superintendent for Ross County Christian Academy in Chillicothe, Ohio.
